Joen Yö - City festival ends the eventful summer as usual. On Friday 19 August, the center of Joensuu will be filled with magnificent light art, improvised performances and numerous programs free of charge.

The main themes of Joen Yö in 2022 are inclusion and tolerance. The Joen Yö event highlights Joensuu's artists of art and culture, Joensuu's diverse field of associations and organizations, and the city's art and culture institutions.

Market Stage (Torilava) has a program between 15:00 and 22:00. Along pedestrian street (Kauppakatu) a traditional Organization Boulevard (Järjestöbulevardi) will be built, and a program aimed especially at children, will be implemented in Vapaudenpuisto.

Joen Yö is financed by the cultural services of the city of Joensuu and produced by Joensuun Virta Oy.
